World Resources Institute
The World Resources Institute (WRI) is a global research organization focused on sustainable natural resource management and has been a pivotal partner in our mission. With WRI, we work on 2 projects – the Land Accelerator and Terrafund. The Land Accelerator empowers entrepreneurs across Africa to scale their restoration businesses through intensive training and mentorship. Terrafund provides catalytic financing to promising restoration enterprises, enabling them to expand their impact across degraded landscapes. Together, these initiatives create a powerful platform for advancing ecosystem restoration while building sustainable businesses that benefit local communities.
World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum is a leading international organization for public-private cooperation and has been an instrumental partner in advancing our climate action agenda. With the Forum, we engage through two key initiatives – UpLink, a digital platform accelerating innovative solutions for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, where we were selected as a ‘Top Innovative Fund’ in 2023 and the 1t.org Stakeholder Council, which guides global efforts to conserve, restore and grow one trillion trees by 2030. We are part of the Sahel Stakeholder Council. These collaborations amplify our ability to identify and scale breakthrough climate solutions while contributing to global environmental objectives.
Smart Hub Kivu
Smart Hub Kivu, a dynamic entrepreneurship accelerator based in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, exemplifies our commitment to leveraging local expertise. Through this strategic partnership, we tap into deep regional knowledge and established community networks to identify and nurture promising climate innovators. This collaboration reflects our belief that local partners, with their intimate understanding of contextual challenges and entrepreneurial ecosystems, are essential to effectively supporting founders building solutions for their communities.
